On your first day of Tanzania family safari-10 days, arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where our representative will meet you. Then a 1-hour drive to Arusha. Check-in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at Arusha Palace Hotel or similar.

Begin this day of your Tanzania family safari-10 days adventure with a drive to Tarangire National park, which is Tanzania’s third-largest national park, on your 4×4 customized safari vehicle. On arrival to Tarangire, tour through the rolling countryside searching for Tarangire wildlife, including antelope, lion, herds of elephants, leopard and cheetah. Afterward drive to your lodge, checking into your comfortable accommodations at the Nimali Tarangire Lodge.

Experience a delightful sunrise across the savannah on our morning Tanzanian family walking safari; here your naturalist guides will point out elephants and some of the park’s 260 recorded bird species. Tarangire is also well known for hosting larger herds of elephants also migrating herds of wildebeest, Grant’s gazelle, and zebras, this is something to look forward to during your afternoon game drive.  In the evening return to Nimali Tarangire Lodge.

After a delicious breakfast, your Tanzania family wildlife safari itinerary takes you across the Great Rift Valley on the way to Lake Manyara National Park, well known for its bigger tusked herds of elephant and tree-climbing lions. Wildlife tour here presents an opportunity to a close encounter with baboons, buffaloes, waterbuck, flamingo, and prides of lion. After Manyara Park proceeds to the highlands of Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Gibbs Farm Karatu.

Drive about 70 km to the southern end of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Lake Eyasi, Tanzania’s largest soda lake. This remote region is home to the Hadza bushmen, the traditional hunting tribe that speaks a “click” language. Spend time with the tribe after their daily hunt, learning about life in this seldom-visited area. Wind up our visit with a picnic lunch at the lake before returning back to the Gibbs Farm Karatu.

Enjoy a fresh luxurious breakfast at Gibbs Farm, and then set out for the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, the world’s largest unflooded caldera. This unique crater is confined from the outside world by a gigantic rim. Crater’s abundance of food and fresh water supports more than 30,000 large mammals. Descend 2,000 feet into the crater for an exciting game drive. Apart from having the chance to observe Africa’s “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), the Ngorongoro crater presents you with your greatest chance to observe the East African black rhino in East Africa. At Mid-day enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, and continue our drive before checking into the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or Similar.

On this 7^th day of your Tanzania family wildlife safari, you head for the Serengeti, on the way visit Olduvai Gorge, where the earliest indication of man was found by the Leakey family in the late 1950s. The Serengeti National Park has ‘endless plains’ that are home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth, and your frequent game drives are a chance to see vast herds. Spend these two days with a full day game drive in Serengeti. You may choose to customize your game drives to mornings, afternoons, and evenings. At the Lodge, you’ll have enough time to learn more about your expert driver/guides and staff, personable locals who strive to bring this land to life during your African safari. When time allows, you will be treated to a final game drive of our Tanzania family  safari-10 days adventure after which you have the option of driving back to Arusha or flying from the local airstrip where you will board a scheduled flight to Arusha. On arrival in Arusha, you may have time to explore local souvenir shops. After lunch, you will be provided with dayrooms to freshen-up before transferring to the airport for your flights home.
